About

In 1991 I graduated with an M.A. in Anthropology and immediately set off for Eastern Europe. I’ve lived in Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia and Saudi Arabia, and travel frequently to Lithuania, Belarus, Hungary and all over Eastern Europe.

I met the mother of my children in Poland and my son was born there. I started writing professionally in Warsaw and was elected an Honorary Member of the Yugoslav Movement for the Protection of Human Rights in Belgrade in 1997.

I am a single father of two wonderful children who are the light of my life. A fine strapping son with a wide-ranging curiosity about many things, and a beautiful smart-mouthed little girl.

Politically I’m libertarian. (What kind? A sane one.) Culturally I’m an unashamed Western Civilization loyalist.

Professionally I’m a journalist, teacher and writer, now pursuing my interests in the fields of journalism, Mass Communication theory, martial arts, and how to make the perfect cheeseburger.
